Quarantine Art experiment run by top-notch artists on a real quarantine island in Menorca, Spain. We’re a group of artists, art lovers, and open-minded individuals. Our events include Art labs, private mentoring, masterclasses, talks and networking opportunities.
Quarantine was born with the commitment to offer what an academic education, due to its very nature and purpose, cannot: progress as an artist, not as an art student.

What to expect from a Quarantine event
Hard work and (very) good vibes. Intensive, exhausting and game changing Art Labs, talks, private mentoring and masterclasses. Isolation from outside noise. A connection with our inner self. Camaraderie. Transformation. A bit of Spanish wine.
Aaaaandā¦ Unplugged from your everyday hustle and bustle, farm-fresh healthy meals, and some other fun party favors.
Difficulty
Quarantine requires a high level of personal commitment and is not recommended for everyone. The program is intense and exhausting, requiring a deeper questioning of beliefs and academic principles.

Ideally, choose mentors who can shed light upon your darkness, not necessarily those you admire artistically. Mentors won’t teach you to paint like them, but instead how to unearth your unique painting style.

Private mentorships are INTENSE 40-minute sessions that concentrate on each individual’s artistic challenges and difficulties. You will have three mentorships over the week with three different mentors.

Meet the dream team behind Quarantineāa diverse collective of boundary-pushers from every corner of the arts and business worlds. We’re a cocktail of vibrant skills and transformative ideas. Artists, entrepreneurs, educators, performers, communicators, and whatnotāwe believe in the serendipity of mixing disciplines to birth something extraordinary.
Specializing in drawing, painting, and sculpture, Xavier trained at the prestigious Florence Academy of Art and Angel Academy. He founded the Barcelona Atelier of Realist Art and has taught at the Barcelona Art Academy and online platform DomƩstika.
This acclaimed artist has showcased work in museums and received international recognition. Expertly blending the figurative and abstract, the art captures the raw expressiveness of the human form. While steeped in classical traditions, there’s a contemporary freshness to the work. Additionally, expertise is shared through teaching roles at Barcelona Art Academy and the online platform DomĆ©stika.
Scriptwriter, narrator, and producer of the award-winning show “Noviembre Nocturno,” Alberto is also a prolific collaborator in radio and podcasts, leading various cultural and social projects like the standout literary event, “El DĆa del TentĆ”culo.”
With over 20 years in the international art scene, Carles has led and participated in numerous events worldwide. Since 2016, he’s been pioneering innovative art retreats, solidifying himself as a global icon in artistic education.
Armed with a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra, Itziar is an expert in strategic communication, copywriting, digital marketing, and event planning, spanning both public and private sectors.
Expert in portraiture and oil painting, Pere trained with masters like Sean Cheetham, Jeremy Mann, Nadezda, and Hollis Dunlap. He currently balances teaching with conducting international portrait workshops at renowned institutions like the MEAM, Barcelona Academy of Art, and Barcelona Art Experience.
Directing shows like “Misterios y Cubatas” and “Onironautas,” contributing to “La EscĆ²bula de la BrĆŗjula” and “Mi AƱo Favorito,” SĆ©re is also the author of the book “Hildegard von Bingen.” She has gained both national and international acclaim on stages and is an outstanding event organizer and executive coach.
Studied film direction and production in Barcelona. Currently, he melds audiovisual production with organizing international retreats and tourist routes.
Currently serving as the head of the room and information officer at Hauser & Wirth Menorca, SebastiĆ is a versatile artist in both performance and visual arts.
Having worked with esteemed companies like Fura dels Baus, Joan has diversified his portfolio by collaborating across various art forms. Since 2012, heās been steering the award-winning Pedra Viva festival and has earned acclaim in choreography, short films, and advertising.
Darren, a graduate in Economics from the University of California, is a versatile entrepreneur with strong footing in translation, market analysis, and English teaching. He’s trilingual and shines in communication and leadership.

We select the most committed artists, not the most polished. We donāt care how good you are, how much success youāve had, or even how many followers you have. What matters is what lights you up from the inside, and that youāre eager to learn and meet other lovers of Art. In short, why you do what you do.

Quarantine is an experimental program with objectives that differ from those of art academies, art retreats, and traditional workshops.
At Quarantine, our focus is on the creative process and challenging what you’ve learned through traditional schooling. Here, you won’t be treated as a student.
If you still dream of a traditional workshop with your favorite artist, that’s okay. There are plenty of other places offering a more predictable and comfortable blue pill.
