…and it’s time to
find its meaning.
“The object isn’t to make art, it’s to be in that wonderful state which makes art inevitable.”
Growth over Skills
Quarantine is an Art events label run by leading artists and agents provocateurs in Menorca, Spain. Our community of artists, art lovers, and open-minded individuals participate in events such as boot camps, talks, mentorships and masterclasses, all while enjoying a touch of Spanish wine.
Quarantine was born with the commitment to offer what an academic education, due to its very nature and purpose, cannot: progress as an artist, not as an art student.
What Quarantine is NOT?
Quarantine is not a painting holiday, art retreat, or a place to copy mentors. It’s an extremely demanding experience for those willing to be off their phone all day.
⚠️ Disclaimer — Don’t sign up for this event if you want a traditional, step-by-step workshop, and you are not willing to be off your phone all day.
Finding Your Own Way
At Quarantine, we don’t offer solutions, but instead, we help you find your own path to unlocking your creative potential. Our approach is centered around questioning, experience, and genuine exchange of ideas.
Lazaretto island provides a safe space to connect authentically and express oneself artistically. Unlock your creative potential!
Quarantine: strict rules to follow
The Quarantine Challenge
Quarantine requires a high level of personal commitment and is not for everyone. It’s intense, overwhelming, and requires questioning of beliefs and academic principles. Participants must be open-minded, think outside the box, and be prepared to be taken out of their comfort zone.
The Lazaretto state of mind
At Quarantine, we don’t have a recipe for creating talent, but we have a compass. We like compasses, not maps; we love time, not clocks. Experiences are valued over lessons.
Here’s what we’ve learned:
- Every solution is false
- Wet artists are not afraid of rain
- More information is less knowledge
- To learn is to disappoint your preconceptions
- Avoiding chaos makes chaos
- “Hey, teacher, leave them kids alone”
