For an hour, Costa Dvorezky talks about subjects related to Art, life, education, technique, creativity, etc.
Who is Costa Dvorezky (really)?
Costa Dvorezky was born in Russia in 1968 and obtained his superpowers at the Art College and the Academy of Arts in Moscow, paying for his studies illustrating books for children. His grandfather, artist and horse lover, was his first inspiration.
His training was very strict, but he knew how to use all that discipline to add strength to his plastic expressiveness. In other words: this guy is a technique beast but knows how to go loose.
Surely the vitality of Costa Dvorezky has caught your attention. The impact is inevitable and his painting is a visual event that stands out. Do you think this is the artwork of someone anchored in the past?
Costa Dvorezky is light years away from being a decadent painter.
Academic rigor constructs his figures without numbing them, preserving their spirit. It’s as if they carried an academic perfume in its right measure, without getting soaked.
Let’s recognize that bringing together the best of both worlds, the academic and the expressive, is very cool. He nails it and it’s what makes him a unique teacher.
Because, let’s be honest, we’re all tired of always seeing the same thing. Fed up with how academicism is the kryptonite of expressiveness as if excellence were a curse that cuts the wings of those artists who are most capable of flying. But it does not have to be like that! That’s why it’s so refreshing to discover artists who love academic discipline without compromising their freedom, and who can transform your painting by teaching you to find the balance between precision and looseness.
Costa Dvorezky is the living proof that freedom of expression does not have to be at odds with discipline. Moreover, Costa will convince you that this discipline is the key that will open the doors to personal expression
